He is the president and founder of Chad Labs Corporation, a company with 53 years of experience in inks, adhesives, Coatings, and composite materials. Chad Labs Corporation is the world's leading new writing ink developers and manufacturers, serving prominent writing instrument marketers. It is now the sole writing ink manufacturer in the USA, exporting ink to China and Japan. This is a testament to Mr. Ramzan's unique position and the company's prestige in the USA industry.

 

 Mr. Ramzan has earned a reputation as one of the foremost experts in writing instrument ink and consumer products. His expertise has been sought after by numerous prominent pen manufacturers in Europe and the USA. His innovative work in writing ink was globally recognized at the Paperworld Trade Show in Frankfurt, Germany, in 2001, where he was recognized for his significant contributions to the writing instrument (Pen) industry. In 2010, he was honored by AABDC New York USA as the Asian American inventor and entrepreneur of the year, further solidifying his expertise and achievements. 

 

Before establishing Chad Labs in 1991, Mr. Ramzan was the sole Project Manager in the R & D group at BIC CORPORATION, a world-leading writing instrument manufacturer (1978-1991). He gained significant research training while working with a group of scientists in Cambridge, Mass, USA, as an Ink and Adhesives development chemist at CARTERS INK-Avery-Dennison (1974 – 1977). His Career also includes two Composite Material Compounding technician assignments at POWERCUBES Corp Division of Honeywell (1973 – 1974) and Rubber Compounding at Haartz-Mason Coated Fabric Rubber company (1971 – 1972) in Watertown, MA, USA. This extensive professional experience underscores his depth of knowledge and skills in the industry. 

 

Mr. Ramzan's profound understanding of surfactants, metals, alloys, solvents, polymers, pigments, and dyes has not only led to the successful launch of numerous new writing instruments by renowned companies like BIC Company and A.T. Cross Co., but it has also sparked innovation in global brand-name and OEM manufacturers in Japan, Korea, China, Indonesia, Mexico, and other countries. His work has made a lasting impression on the industry worldwide, highlighting his expertise's global reach and impact. 

 

Chad's unwavering commitment to the industry is evident through his active membership in the USA's Writing Instrument Manufacturers Association (WIMA) since 1974 and through his leadership as the Director of WIMA in the USA since 2004. His expertise was recognized when he delivered a keynote speech on the 'Evolution of writing inks' during the 2017 Annual Meeting of WIMA USA, showcasing his passion for the industry and inspiring respect and admiration in his peers. 

 

Chad Labs successfully developed four major writing ink breakthroughs:

1- Low Viscosity Ball Pen ink in 1998, 

2- Oil Gel Ball Pen Ink in 2010, Known ButterGel®, 

3- SuperJel™ ink in 2018, and 

4- A new CapFree Highlighter and watercolor children's marker (Patent Pending) ink is being launched in 2,024.

Mr. Ramzan has Double major bachelor’s degrees with Honors in Physics and Chemistry from Government College Lahore and an M.Sc. Hons in Organic Chemistry with distinguished Academic Roll of Honors from Government College Lahore Pakistan in 1968. He was a Chemistry Lecturer at Government College Quetta, Pakistan, from 1969 to 1971. He has also studied Polymer Chemistry at Northeastern University Boston, MA Colloid, & Surface Chemistry at the University of Minnesota, and Material Engineering at the University of New Haven, CT, USA.
